You love to cook but wish you had a broader repertoire?
Your kids want to join you in the kitchen but drive you crazy with the mess they make?
I can help.
A cook and a food writer for 30 years, I conduct cooking classes in my own kitchen (or in yours, if you prefer) for adults and children. All you need to provide is an apron – and a sense of fun.
How do I book?
Please use the contact form, and let me know the date and how many places you are interested in booking for. I am located on the lower north shore, just over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Kids Cooking Classes
Kids cooking classes are held during the school holidays for groups of 8 – 12.
I take the kids into my cook’s garden to identify (and pick) organic vegies and herbs, weather (and season) permitting.
Please let me know if any of the children have food intolerances or allergies (to nuts, eggs) or any special dietary requirements.
Please wear closed in shoes. Aprons & chef hats provided. I’ll provide all ingredients, recipes to take home and an experienced child-friendly assistant.
If parents wish to join the class, there will be a charge – please contact me to find out details.
Deposit must be paid ten days prior to class or booking will not be held.
Adults Cooking Classes
Adults cooking classes are available at a time of your choice for groups of up to 10.
“By becoming a cook, you can leave processed foods behind, creating more healthful, less expensive and better-tasting food that requires less energy, water and land per calorie and reduces our carbon footprint. Not a bad result for us — or the planet.”
Mark Bittman, New York Times, 31/12/10
