Ingredients
- self-raising flour 3 cups
- unprocessed bran 2 cups
- powdered milk 7 tablespoons
- salt a good pinch
- water 2 cups
Preheat the oven to 200c. Grease a bread or loaf tin with butter. Put all the dry ingredients together into a bowl and stir to combine. Make a hole in the centre and pour in some of the water, gradually adding the flour mixture. Add enough water to make a paste and beat well for a few minutes to aerate. Spoon mixture into prepared tin and bake for one and a half hours. Remove from oven and cool on a rack.
